those weddings I had a few other, little, things happen that are worth at least updating photos of!
Right after I got back from my cousin's wedding (which Rich did not go to) I came home to this amazing gift from him! It's a stainless steel Triforce necklace that I had been looking at for a long time on Etsy. It's actually a silver color, but the lighting made it look gold (although the Etsy store does have gold ones too!) Apparently he had ordered it weeks and weeks earlier, but there had been some mix ups with the shipping. Good thing it came in when it did, cause I was almost about to buy one myself!
The weekend in between the two weddings there was a Wii U Preview Event in San Francisco. Of COURSE I had to go! How could I let Rich have all the Wii U fun?
Now, this might come as a shock but...I'm really shy when it comes to gaming and I definitely don't like people watching what I'm doing. I don't want to look like an idiot to all the people watching me (also why you'll notice I don't talk about playing may games at shows like PAX)! But I did actually play quite a handful of games at the event.
We played all the Nintendoland games they had available to play. Mario Chase, Luigi's Ghost Mansion and Animal Crossing: Sweet Day were all super fun...but I found the controls on Metroid Blast to be really wonky. Maybe it's just something you need more time with to get used to?
Also got to play ZombiU multiplayer and holy crap was that fun. I got to play the zombie king (or whatever it was called) and use the Wii U Gamepad to place zombies. Rich was stuck playing the survivor, trying to capture flags before my zombies could as well as surviving the zombie attacks I threw at him.
I kicked his ass. ;)
We also got a game of New Super Mario Brothers U in before the event was over. It was really fun, even though Rich kept using me to jump off of and causing me to fall off the level and die!
They wrapped up the event with some trivia (at which Rich won...a Nintendo themed baseball hat! JUST WHAT HE NEEDED, RIGHT?) and gave everyone chocolate Mario Mustaches on their way out the door.
Oh oh! And look at what Rich got me from the Nintendo World store while he was in New York City!
Mew! My favorite Pokemon! :3
